2008 has been my best year by far. I credit this mostly to the fact that this was the first year I sat down and wrote my goals, deadlines, and gameplan... a roadmap, if you will. Like they say, if you don't know where you're trying to go, you'll never get there.
2008 in Review:
Jan: My first studio apartment (no roommates!). Trip to India for work and first solo trip ever (to Thailand). The catalyst for change in my life. The kickoff to my amazing year.
Feb & March: Made new friends, enjoyed NYC life, first annual girls ski trip to Utah, and my first photography class.
April: Accepted into Georgetown MBA Class of 2010.
May: The last month of my 10 year residency in NYC. Enjoyed Spring in NYC for all it was worth! Last day in Corporate America (for a while, at least).
June & July: Amazing solo 30 day journey around Peru.
Aug: Moved to Washington DC.
Sept: Began b-school. More work than I expected, but equally rewarding and inspiring.
Oct: Settling into my new life in b-school and DC.
Nov: Obama elected US Prez. Nuf said.
Dec: One last international trip to Mexico City (served as a reminder of how much I love traveling).
Throughout the year I've met some great people and made new friends all over the world. I'm looking forward to the continuation of my journey in 2009...
